And It Was Brutal
By Adam Blue | July 6, 2008
Fourth of July, I had to work late. So, after work I headed on over to Corbet’s which was full of alcohol and fun. I learned a new drinking game called Kings…I think. It’s a card game where upon drawing a card, the face determines an action, which is usually followed by drinking.
The next day was Dethklok. Even though I still consider Iron Maiden my favorite band, the Dethklok show was the best show I have ever been to. With me was Corbet and Schrader. I started with a Coors at Schrader’s, then some Vodka at the House of Blues. We went in line for some Dethklok merch…but that stuff sold out immediately. Even before the first band started. The pit for the second band got a little rough, and the music wasn’t that good, so we headed back to the bar…for some more drinks. Then, right when the band stopped we all headed up to the pit. We had a good spot in the middle, not too far from the front.
Then Dethklok started. It went insane. I had alcohol poured all over my body. My hair was drenched, and I could feel alcohol in my eye. I got pushed back right to the edge of the craziness. It was amazing watching them play and stay in-sync with the music videos behind them. And Brendon Small plays lead while growling…he’s amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t have my N95 with me…instead, it was my new Tilt. And it takes terrible video. Here’s some video, but again, it’s nothing special.
I seriously wish I had my N95 back. I might need to do that soon…but I’m trying to be good with my money.
Afterward, we went to this bar called O’Riley’s, watched another band play, and drank more beer. Today I woke up slightly hung over, but I’m feeling better.

there is a certain setting you can take good videos with your tilt. I’ve been able to take crystal clear no skipping videos, then sometimes shitty choppy videos…theres a setting that I haven’t done much research on…but it’s there. Remind me to show you examples
