Shhh! Don’t tell Anybody…

So, I’m obsessed with Real World. Not while I’m living in the Real World, but every night a new episode is on, I have to watch it.

There’s a blog, The Real World/Road Rules Blog, that I shamefully visit often to discuss what’s happening on the show and to look at the cast member’s MySpace pages. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that…

Anyway, the blog hasn’t been updated in a month, and it sucks, because I enjoyed an after-episode discussion. Well, tonight I’m reading the comments of the last post and come across what could possibly be why the blog stopped.

I apologize sincerely for the lack of updates. Unfortunately, my wonderful son Alan, who has maintained this wonderful site for several years, has passed away after a strenuous battle with bacterial meningitis. We ask that during this difficult time, you remain sensitive towards the situation and refrain from making calloused jokes out of a serious matter. Alan is leaving behind two beautiful daughters (my first grandchildren!) a 2-year-old named Alexis and an 7-month-old named Jenna. On behalf of my family, we appreciate your patience during this turbulent period in our lives and ask for all of your prayers. God bless.

Now, being on the internets, who knows if this is true. But if so it’s sad. I’ve always found it fascinating what would happen to certain websites when a tragedy occurs. Is it even worth explaining on a blog for the Real World show?

I don’t know. But maybe some good can come out of this, and I can continue the legacy.
