Pennywise - Free of Charge

I just now found out that Pennywise’s new album is coming out in March. What’s interesting is that it’s free through MySpace if you add ‘Textango‘ as a friend. I’m not even sure what it is…but I’m sure Pennywise is not the first artists, and Epitaph is definitely not the first label. I’m sure that pretty soon CD’s could be non-existent, and all music would be distributed digitally, or through thumbs drives. But with the popularity of free ad intensive content, I could see music going the same way. And it seems to have started here with the new untitled Pennywise album. …well, maybe it has before and I just missed it.
The album will still be sold on disc/vinyl, and the disc version will even include a bonus DVD. But still, I find all of this interesting.
