The Past Weekend
By Adam Blue | November 12, 2007
Over the weekend I went out with Jason, his girlfriend, and her friend to downtown Dallas. We first hit up Obar, which I think is great except that there is no dance floor. I like a dance floor. But, I’ve gotta say, the music is great. After a little bit we went to Mantus. The girls were already there so we went to meet up with them, but the bouncer wouldn’t let us in. I think he wasn’t letting in sausage by itself - good call. The girls show up(they were somewhere else), and the bouncer proceeds to let us in. …but it was dead. So, back to Obar. I like the atmosphere and music, but these clubs are better suited for dates. I want to find a club where the eager and willing lay in wait.
See, I don’t want to do the ‘date’ thing. For now, a date would be if I met a girl at a club one night, and we decided to meet up again - but, it would just be at another club to dance and do whatever afterwards. No dinner. No movie. No ‘getting to know you’. Just not right now.
Hopefully more will go down this next weekend.
