Back To Geotagging
By Adam Blue | July 1, 2008
I sold my N95 for a lot of money to save, and went back to my 8801. But the problem is I missed 3G, Shozu, and Geotagging. Luckily, the laptop I bought recently went on sale for $250 less, Best Buy refunded me that money, and some guy on Craig’s List had his HTC Kaiser, aka AT&T Tilt, aka AT&T 8925 for sale for $275. So, I met with him and snagged it up.
With Star (the dog) in the house, she went crazy one night and tore up the siding to the front door. So today I replaced it, but now I have to paint around it and on the nails. I took pictures to show the before and after…I was quite amazed with myself. The second picture actually geotagged itself…even though I hadn’t been outside since the first.
Now I’m debating whether I bring this to Brazil to Geotag all day and pay the data cost, or just use my Canon Digital Elph and upload and manually tag. I really like the idea of embedded GPS though… I’ll have to get data pricing figured out.

Check This Out
By Adam Blue | June 17, 2008
So, if you’re using Firefox (especially the new v3), there’s this neat plug-in called PicLens. If you don’t know anything about it, you might as well install it. I actually enabled it on my blog, so you can ‘PicLens’ all my photos.
Here’s something pretty sad - Chase, the cat with no face. It’s worth a read.
I also got a new laptop. It’s a Gateway P-6860FX, one of the best gaming laptops available, and it was only $1350. I sold my gaming desktop for this. I have some future plans that require a mobile desktop replacement, which this certainly is.
So, about selling my desktop; I have some plans coming up so I’ve been selling off a bunch of stuff, with Craig’s List becoming a new friend. Through my new friend, I’ve met some cool people. It’s the opposite of how CL usually turns out. Usually someone shows up leather clad with whips and chains, and a mule. With a clown riding on top - and they were really supposed to come pick up a lamp. I let them in anyway.
The new Offspring album came out today. It’s pretty horrible.
The past couple years I’ve been checking out some Brazilian punk bands - but not really punk. It’s an interesting genre mix out there. But I dig this song. The band is called Charlie Brown Jr., and for the record it is in Portuguese.

I recently discovered something awesome. Muxtape. Make an account, upload your 12 favorite tracks, and share. Using this, I’ve come across music I haven’t heard before, and I dig it.
Also an amazing event occurred. itsadam.com finally updated. Not only that, but it was given a nice overhaul.
Alright, here’s the Pic of The Day:

Also, I’ll get back to everyone with something else going on. I have to wait for the final word from the Master.

Iron Maiden In San Antonio + More
By Adam Blue | May 25, 2008
Sorry for the delay, but this is how it went down:
Schrader and I leave Wednesday morning. I had a Salad as my only meal. When we get to San Antonio, we head to Applebee’s where I have the spinach dip and a beer. A big beer. Then Schrader grabs some rum at Liquor World.

We then drink up the rum as we head out with his buddy Dan to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

Once there, I by my lonesome make my way through the pit to get to the front and center. The first and only band before Maiden, was the Bassist’s daughter, Lauren Harris. She is smokin’ hot. The music was just okay, but she was fun to look at. I didn’t get any photos of her while I was there, but here’s a good one I found on the net:

Then Maiden starts. I push my way to the very middle-front…and I’m only about a few bodies from the barricade. Here’s a video of The Trooper I shot with my N95, giving you an idea of my location.
And here’s a video I found on YouTube of the intro. Here you can actually see how many freaking people were at this concert…and I was in the front and center…I’m proud of myself (give it a few seconds to light up):
And here’s Bruce calling out some guy smoking pot (found on YouTube):
But the pit was pretty crazy. Not body slamming crazy like Pennywise, but these people were so crazy about seeing Iron Maiden that they were pushing hard up against me from all angles trying to move in closer. Make sure to check out my Flickr Photostream for all the photos from the concert.
After four hours of sweating like hell and not drinking water after consuming a bunch of alcohol, Maiden was done. And I was feeling sick. We head back, grab some food and decide to go to a Gentleman’s Club. Once inside, the DJ mentions the Iron Maiden concert, and starts playing some Maiden. So, naked girls + alcohol + Maiden = Totally-uber-epic. Then my buddy bought me a lap dance and asked the DJ to play some Maiden for it. Ha. That was crazy. Though, lap dances do nothing for me, it was a nice gesture.
The next morning we wake up to leave and make it back in 3 1/2 hours. Ha. I think I did good there.
So, that’s it for Maiden, but it didn’t stop there. After an hour with Conan on the 360 (great game), I went with my Dad and Bro to see the new Indiana Jones movie. Did Not Like. I’m not going to go into detail until more people see it, but too much CGI = Crap.
I’ve got some more news too, but I’ll get to that later this week. Stay Tuned.

Friday Night and Finally Working Out
By Adam Blue | May 17, 2008
So, like usual, the people telling me they want to go out don’t. And instead I end up going out with other people, but still having a ton of fun. Last night after work I went out with a buddy of mine and met up with this dude known as ‘Frank the Tank’. In honor of the name, he put me in his phone as ‘My Boy Blue’. This is how the night went.
Risky’s
Embargo
The Library.
At Risky’s I just had myself a beer, but apparently Frank was having margaritas with Everclear. I’ve really never heard of that…and don’t think I even want to try it. Then we went to Embargo which had an out of whack sausage ratio, so we were out of there pretty quick. We really just grabbed a Corona and split. Then we went to the Library which was sort of packed, but didn’t really have many good looking women. We had some beer and some shots…Tuaca, I think. But then the bar closed and that was the night. Like usual, I grabbed some food and passed out.
I woke up this morning with a pretty bad headache, but after some breakfast I was back to normal.
And for some good news, I started working out again. I was really sore immediately after, but the next day I was feeling great. I can already tell this will be easy…even though it has been NINE MONTHS. That’s insane.
And I’d like to add: Iron Maiden on Wednesday…followed by some craziness. I can’t wait for next weekend to just go away.

Feeling Bad, Taking Names
By Adam Blue | May 14, 2008
So now I really feel emo. I even take a second to laugh at myself, then go back to being emo. It just sucks right now. I’ll be seeing Maiden next week, but something else will be going on at that same time and I’m only going to feel like crap. But you know what? I need to get over that crap. It’s not worth it. It’s just a timed emotion. It will go away. Knowing you got to this point only means none of it is worth it. I defeat my anger by imagining myself punching and kicking various wooden objects (walls, tables, chairs), and it works. Just having these conversations on the INTERNET is completely stupid. Anything seriously that needs to be said should be said on the phone. That’s another reason why I should know this isn’t a big deal…
But yes…Maiden next week. It’s amazing just thinking that I’ll be seeing Iron Maiden and they’ll be playing their old stuff. …and again, I hope the other thing happening that week won’t keep me down. Sad face.
I started a company though, BSP Merchandise. I have some pretty crazy ideas for this, and it will take more than one, and that’s why I have my Amigos in on it too. But yeah, if you clicked on the link and found nothing, that’s because there’s nothing yet. But that’s the motivation I need to keep this going forward.
The Granada theater emailed me with pics of the Pennywise/Strung-Out show, and one picture contains me…taking a picture!

Can you find me? I’m next to the guy in yellow.

Pennywise, Strung-Out, and Afterwards
By Adam Blue | May 10, 2008
The Pennywise/Strung-Out show was completely insane. I had a good spot…only about 10 feet from the stage, but it was on a raised area with a small bar. I stood there because the stage at the pit level would have been too tall for me. Anyway, the pit below me was going insane. Then the guitarist from Pennywise said that just because we’re on the second tier, doesn’t mean we’re immune from the pit. They then started playign the next song, and I went flying. Left, right, and on the ground. I landed on someone and had a beer spill on my face. I really hope it was beer.
But unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. The problem is that these guys have so many songs that all they play are their slow popular songs. But here’s some video:
Strung-Out:
Pennywise:
Afterward, since I was in Dallas I met up with Brandon. We went to Barcadia which is a pretty cool rock/80’s bar with old-school arcade games. Then we went to the Double Wide. It was a bar built like a trailer and purposely all trashy. But it was cool. Then we went to the 24 hour Cafe Brazil. The food wasn’t Brazilian, though the Honey Mustard Chicken sandwich was awesome.
Then I went to sleep.

It’s Probably Nothing
By Adam Blue | May 9, 2008
Tonight is the Pennywise/Strung-Out concert. That’s pretty insane right there. I mean, those are two of my favorite punk bands…and they are playing together. Man. I can’t wait. Then hopefully after that I’ll be staying in Dallas to hang out with Jason. Then I’ve got Saturday to plan. I have no plans yet…but we’ll see what comes up.
I found a new weekly internet-based show called The Circuit. It’s on MojoHD.com…and is funny as hell. Like a cross between Talk Soup and a tech show. Here’s a clip.
I saw something personal to me that kinda bothered me. It shouldn’t really bother me…but it did. Like a sad feeling, if you will. But, I’m going to be cryptic because I’d like to keep this blog as far from emo as possible. …I’ve read my old Live Journal entries…I wish they didn’t exist, so i think we know where I’m getting at.
EDIT: …well, then I’m thinking, if it’s not what I think it is….why would it be there? That’s what makes this something instead of probably nothing, but still probably nothing…but could be something. I hope this great mystery isn’t killing any of you. And maybe it’s the fact that it’s almost 2am? Yeah, I should get to sleep. It’s probably nothing, or just a little something.
So, it’s probably nothing.
If not something.

Cinco De Mayo
By Adam Blue | May 7, 2008
So, for the fifth of May I went to Duke’s here in Bedford. I met up with a buddy from work, his girlfriend, and her friends. It wasn’t too crowded, which was disappointing, but a few old friends showed up so I guess it was worth it. Alright, so the problem was it was $2 you-call-its. Which means I’m not sure what happened after I was told that. I started with some Coors light, in which I was scolded for and told to go Mexican (duh). So, I went with Mexican beer the rest of the night, but by then I couldn’t even really taste anything. Then the shots… First, was some tequila, then a little bit later some more. Then, before I left one of the ol’ friends walked over and asked if I wanted a Royal F***. I said sure. Hell, he could of asked if I wanted a shot of goat urine, and I would say yes. Well, no, that’s not true.
So, I got the shot…and knew my morning was done.
I leave, get some Taco Bell (damn you drunk and hungry Adam!), and go home. I eat, pass out, wake up, throw up, pass out…and wake up. I sat in the leaving room all day using the 55 inch HDTV that I bought last year but never use. I really need to sit out there more. Anyway, I just surfed the net and sipped water. And threw up again. Then realized that I never left my bed when I threw up last night, so I had to clean the sheets.
Then at about 4:30 I decided to eat. Since then I’ve been better, but my stomach still hates me. I’m pretty sure I’ll wake up fine tomorrow. I wanted to drink every night this week, but I might just hold off on that… I’ll save it for Friday night.
Oh, and work called to add Monday to my vacation. That’s pretty awesome, but now I look out my window watching for pigs to fly by.
