Where Did Everybody Go?

Last night being a Saturday night meant going out. We first headed to Shade, a club off Greenville that I really enjoy. The first odd thing I notice is that they didn’t charge us to get in. I’ve been able to pull off that stunt before, but I know this wasn’t the case. But the inside was completely empty…I’ve never seen it like this before. So after one drink, we head out of our $10 parking space and go Downtown.
Our plan was to go to Obar, but driving by we noticed it was closed. So, we just park nearby and walk to Mantus…which was also dead. I was pretty disappointed. We end up just grabbing some $9 margaritas (wtf) and chill out. It wasn’t worth running around anymore.
So what happened? Is this an affect of the economy? Or are these places just not “in” anymore? The streets were crowded so people were going somewhere. I’ll just have to find out where.
In other news, today on my phone with the Skyfire browser I was able to fund my NFS.net hosting account and then post to this blog. I think that’s pretty awesome.
Next week I need to find good place to go for Halloween. I would like to dress up and watch a costume contest go down. I don’t know what I should go as though…any ideas?

My Flickr Map

Here’s a link to my Flickr map. I’ve tried embedding it to my Geotagging page in the past, but there ares till some issues with Google Maps and the Flickr API…or me. Anyway, any picture I take with my phone when locked into a satellite (meaning outside…except for some strange occurrences) will then be tracked via GPS on my Flickr map.
That’s my update from here in Florida. It has been okay, but the town really isn’t for people in their 20’s, or single.

NO AUTOPAY

So not only did AT&T eff me, but now it’s TXU. I’m not joking. I’m done with autopay.
On another note, check out a new site I’m a part of: News For Geeks Daily.
Other than that, I don’t have much. Well, I went from 189 pounds down to 174. I’m glad I did this well after surgery. I was pretty down about my weight during that time. Also, I’m going to Florida for my birthday. I’ll be leaving Aug. 29th and I’ll be back Sept. 3rd.

The Mummy

I’m actually really excited about the 3rd Mummy movie coming out tonight. I was a huge fan of the first, but not so much of the second. This new one just looks great though. Dragons, Yetis, Chinese Mummy-warriors? That’s all awesome.
I’m really digging my HTC Tilt a lot more than I thought I would. Here’s a look at the ‘Gas Prices’ portion of the Windows Live Search app:
I like that it will use my current GPS location to find all nearby gas station prices. And I noticed prices are going down. It also has an easy to use program for movie times. I tell ya, I’m really digging this phone.

Corbet’s Sandwhich

Corbet made me one of the greatest peanut butter sandwiches I’ve ever had. I just had to blog about that.
Anyway, a bunch of us are seeing the Dark Knight tonight. I didn’t like Batman Begins, and I’m honestly not too hyped for this one. Do you think it’s getting more attention since the passing of Heath Ledger? I had to throw that out there, but I’m only being honest. It’s just the numbers for this are already huge. Midnight showings have already begun to sell so well, that many theaters are adding in 3am and 6am showings. That’s nuts. I hope I’m proven wrong tonight.
I found an awesome band. Hibria.
Also, freakin’ AT&T charged $750 extra on my wireless account. Yeah. After a few days I got it all sorted out, and they’re mailing me a check. I decided to quit auto-pay.
